A lot have people have asked my take on shoes. I could sum it up really simply as just less. Past that, its a case by case basis: If I have a client thats been doing tons of barefoot activities (like yoga) forever, Im going to put them in the least shoe possible for our workouts (mostly kettlebell, barbell, bodyweight - probably no running), basically barefoot or a barefoot shoe. On the flip-side if I get someone whos been wearing huge trainers forever, Ill probably start them with a Nike Free 7.0 or 5.0, and then in six months some Free 3.0s. Then we might test some really minimal shoes or Vibrams.
