A thanksgiving tradition Update The early start has got us moving fast. Finding specials in supermarkets all over we hare steadily close to 200 dinners stored with the prospects of 400 staring at us. I am still waiting to secure a few spaces to ditribute to those in need. As of now this is the potential itinerary: 11/23 - 60 Dinners deliverd to St. Boniface 11/25 -50 Dinners delivered to Hempstead 11/27 9:00 AM 80 Dinners to Salvation Army 11:00 AM 80 Dinners to second Salvation Army 1:00 PM Potential 70 Dinners to VOA site 2:00 PM 125 Dinners delivered to Far Rockaway (where it all started) If you do the math you can see wee are aiming high but witht the help of some of the people we have made friends with along the way I am confident we can pull it off. I will leave you wit an excerpt from a famous mans own words..... “A little 5 year old boy with his big smile and big eyes who was living at the Salvation Army house in Springfield Gardens was helping his mom to collect all the fixing for his thanksgiving dinner, said to Melissa and I as we were leaving and taking the food to his room Thank you mister for all this food, I hope you are going to come back here and live with us”. Enough said! HELP US SPARKLE AND BE PART OF THE LIGHT HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL! -Frankie V. Paxinos Family Tradition SPACE: The larger this has grown the more storage has created a problem, through some back channels and the help of one of my main contributors Mr. Frank Viteritti of Import Commodities we have been given a store front located at 498 Merrick Road Lynbrook, NY 11563. Now we can store and collect dried foods and donations through out the month of November. This is a major step in our efforts to welcome more people to help as we will have a central location and be able to hold definitive hours for anyone who wants to help. Angelo the owner of the building that has donated the space also donates a great deal of product as well. DISTRIBUTION: We will once again be delivering dinners to the First Baptist Church in Far Rockaway, as we always have but our list is growing more every year.
