A very common question that we receive is, my tire says I should run this air pressure, is that true? The answer is, no. The air pressure listed on the sidewall of your tire is the maximum inflation pressure given to obtain the maximum load carrying capacity. It has nothing to do with what your car/SUV or truck recommends. You can find the recommended pressure normally on the door frame at the drivers door. Some vehicles may be on the gas tank door, glove box or the underside of trunk. These pressures that are recommended have been given to each vehicle from much testing that includes how your car will handle, ride, fuel economy and how the tires will wear!
