A very special shout to the legendary songwriter/producer/arranger/artist/musician Leroy Burgess. What started out as a remix for a new Black Ivory/Logg song towards their new forthcoming album has transformed into this wonderful Leroy Burgess/Easy Mo Bee collaboration that could easily become a Mothers Day anthem. Im honored to even be collaborating with this man on any level based upon his classic contributions as a songwriter/arranger/producer including his involvement as a member of the groups Black Ivory, Universal Robot Band, Logg, Aleem and all of the masterpieces that were created between he and iconic music producer Patrick Adams (Inner Life, Musique, Fonda Rae, etc). Up and coming songwriters, you owe it to yourself to become familiar with the things he has done and to take a page out of his book as far as great songwriting is concerned. Working on a Black Ivory/Logg song in 2014 makes me happy and further reinforces the fact that true R&B still lives. Look forward very soon to the release of a very long-awaited Black Ivory/Logg album.
