ASP.NET Front End Web Developer Jerusalem Company is seeking an experienced and talented ASP.NET developer with passion for beautiful, intuitive user interfaces. We are looking for an individual who is confident in their own skills and comfortable being the primary in-house programmer at our Jerusalem office. You will be working on the UI redesign of our existing suite of web applications, the front-end development of new web applications, our corporate website, and various marketing-related projects. You will have daily interaction with our heads of operations, product management, design, and marketing, as well as our team of back-end developers in India. We need you to develop and implement well-tested, efficient, cross-browser, reusable, flexible code to help us take our UI to the next level. Primary Responsibilities: •Learn existing UI designs and quickly improve or expand upon them •Create mockups from functional specs •Design and implement server-side and client-side (front-end) components and enhancements •Find creative ways to bridge the client-server gap using unobtrusive techniques, client-side scripts, AJAX, and other available tools •Utilize proven techniques to create secure, public-facing applications •Gracefully handle error conditions as part of a fault-tolerant, seamless user experience •Collaborate with the team to develop and evolve a very intuitive interface, incorporating input from colleagues, site metrics, and user feedback •Deliver software of the highest quality through good design, attention to detail, and thorough testing •Identify and correct problems uncovered by testing or end user feedback •Complete tasks consistently on time in an agile environment •Absorb as much knowledge as possible to put yourself in the place of our end-users (e.g., London-based lawyers), to understand what they are trying to do and help them accomplish this in an intuitive and simple manner. This may involve directly interacting with the users and conducting user tests. Required Skills and Experience: •Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related subject matter preferred •Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills •Excellent team player, eager to learn from others and to share skills with colleagues •5+ years experience in software development •3+ years working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/AJAX/JQuery •2+ years developing in ASP.NET / C#.NET •2+ years working with Microsoft SQL Server •Able to develop and analyze requirements and to design and implement high-quality software solutions •Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, programming, and design patterns •Proficient in leveraging development tools (source code repositories, IDEs, and debuggers) •Highly motivated self-starter, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently •Proven track record for project delivery •Able to show a portfolio of prior projects and provide references Desired Skills and Experience: •Experience developing and deploying enterprise-class web sites •Experience working in N-Tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) •Experience in database design, SQL, stored procedures, query performance analysis, and query optimization •Experience in site scalability, performance analysis, and optimization •Experience with Agile software development methodologies •Experience with web services •Microsoft certifications are a plus Required Software Skills: •Office Tools: Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications •Operating Systems:, Windows Server 2012 •Languages: C# 3.5 or higher, T-SQL •Client/Web Skills: HTML, CSS, XML, ASP.Net, AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript •Databases: Microsoft SQL Server 2012 •Development Tools: Microsoft Visual Studio, Internet Information Service (IIS) Desired Software Skills: •Controls: Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX •Frameworks: Bootstrap •Code Repository: Subversion •Web Services: JSON, XML, RESTful, SOAP, and WCF Framework Please send a cover letter, CV, and examples of your work to jobs@rybtech
