ATTN PLEASE- Reports are coming in of a crack that has formed in the dam at Langley Pond in Granetville, SC. As a precaution, the pond height is being lowered, which will greatly increase the flow of water into Horse Creek and into the River below Sand Bar Ferry Rd. It is expected that the color of the River below Horse Creek will become much darker and turbid as the pond is lowered. Please pass on the word to folks that may live downstream of the pond on Horse Creek or on the River below Sandbar Ferry and above the Lock and Dam. We will share more information as it becomes available.
