About 2 hours ago (9:30 pm) at the railway bridge where Gerrards lane meets Leach lane in Sutton, a black and white cat jumped off the wall into the road, directly in front of my car. I literally had no time to stop and he/she was killed instantly. I felt sick to my stomach, and didnt know what to do, so I wrapped it up in my emergency blanket and knocked on the houses in the vicinity, in the hope of tracing the owner so I could at least do the decent thing and break the news to them, but to no avail. I called the police and they werent helpful at all, telling me that I didnt need to report it because it was just a cat. Wtf?? That rule needs changing, its someones pet. If anyone in that area is missing a black and white cat, or knows of someone who owns one, please get in touch or pass this message on. He/she is now at Rutland House, where they said they will scan him and see if anyone enquires tomorrow. Devastated
