About Birds. What does one do if he is a nature lover but not an expert and also likes birds? 1. To start with you can have a small book in which you can enter details about the sightings. 2 What need to be observed generally by a lay man to start with common birds and their different variety in our surroundings. 3.Make note of any specific things which differentiates the particular sighting with others. 4.Number of spottings in a day and if there is any family. Do not disturb them. 5.Check in the internet, books or verify with an expert if you are not sure and note it down. Yes it needs patience but that is what birdwatching is all about. You will start liking it. 6.After a year of this practice you will continue to learn and help others too.
