After a day of getting work stuff organized (hello spreadsheets!) and writing grants (helloooo words!) I am thrilled to be heading to a place where there will be no light pollution, creating an ideal opportunity to see the aurora borealis with the kids, my Joe and my awesome friends and band mates of Awful Purdies. The last time I saw aurora borealis, while camping with a group of about 40 women at a bachelorette party, it was so incredibly beautiful. It actually made me tear up. Waves of purple, neon green dashes, baby blue pulsing and hot pink flashing... we were all screaming and laughing at it. Waking up under a clear, white sky in the morning was something else. It was one of the greatest shows Ive ever seen. Id love to show it to the kids. Fingers crossed!
