After spending the last two weekends volunteering on trail crew for the Yukon Quest marking the route from Angel Creek over Rosebud and Eagle summits to near Central, I have more respect than ever for those amazing Quest dogs and their mushers. We only marked about 60 of the 1000 miles (or 100 of 1600km, eh?), but we did travel that section in both directions. After telling Karen about today, she had to ask How can those dogs get up that last part of Eagle Summit if you cant do it on a snowmachine? ( I did make it over in one direction, but not going back the other way.)
