Again our honorable (I think it should be Horn-a-level = thinking level to those with horns in the animal kingdom), leaders have given excellent explanation on Salary raise. Check these statements: Lyonchhoen Tshering Tobgay said, “The real salary increase is from 24 to 30 percent, including the house rent allowance, with lower levels in general support personnel and elementary service personnel getting 40 percent rise.” Kuensel 23. “The take home amount is actually larger than what the pay commission recommended,” Lyonpo Namgay Dorji said. Bhutan Economy grew by 4.7% -PM (BBS). I still do feel that this is probably the dirtiest of all the politics played by our politicians. Kudos to them. If they are not prepared to give me, i am also not giving them my vote next term....what does this mean after all...it simply means we do not have confidence on them anymore.....yes, very proudly. My salary raise would have been 40 percent straight. Simple maths. What ever allowances I got legitimately should have been merged with the basic which would then be bench mark for the calculation of new 40 percent for every body. Now I get just around 26%. Of-course this percentage is very biased factor as well.....it differs by how many 100s we have in any figures. My 26% raise may be 10 times less than MPs 5% raise (lets suppose!!) Look at these parliamentarians raise.....deferred because they are looking for the right strike....other parameters. I have written about these about 10 times here....this is because I am professional, trading my profession for money......work = money = work. There is nothing like professional social workers (charity). I contribute to the national exchequer after all....
