Allow me to reiterate, for those who misunderstand. Satanism, when approached correctly, has nothing to do with the common, Christianity-born concept of Satan. In fact, the only parallel may be found in the Jewish concept of ha-Satan, and even that is a great stretch. Much like Gnosticism, Satanism is a separate entity, and may cross over into Judeo-Christian or Muslim superstitions, but it is not necessary, and is more rare than most would believe. To put it simply: My Satan is NOT Your Satan.
