Ambridge Borough seeks Residents to serve on Community Boards The Ambridge Borough Council and Mayor are seeking community volunteers to serve on a number of advisory and regulatory boards and commissions of Ambridge Borough. There are currently the following vacant seats that we are seeking applicants for: · Civil Service Commission (administers police / fire hiring, promotions and disciplinary proceedings) – 1 seat · Planning Commission (advises Council on Zoning Amendments, Community Development Projects and Sub-divisions) – 3 seats · Zoning Hearing Board (presides over requests for Zoning Variances or challenges to the opinion of the Zoning Officer and such permits) – 1 seat · Board of Health / Code Appeals Board (serves as the Borough’s Health Permitting Appeals Board) – 1 seat · Historical Architectural Review Board (administers design standards and ensures the historical character of our community and the Ambridge Historic District) – 2 seats If you are interested in any of the above volunteer positions, please fill out the Borough’s Board Application (attached or available in the Borough office or AmbridgeBoro.org on the “News” page.)
