And if you thought we were only going bananas over the recent dog adoptions, you would be wrong! Look who else found homes in the last couple days...kittens Mia, Flopsy and Keith! Now, if you dont mind, wed like to put a special shout out to Mias foster mom, Dina Zaccaria Schubert! For those of you who may not realize it, the DCACC staff pretty much work 24/7. Not only is Dina our Humane Educator and the person who runs everywhere with animals in tow for adoption events, and goes to schools and such, but shes also the person who gets all the animals up on the shelter website, and who helps Jackie Petersen Photography get all those cute critters to focus in one place for like 2 seconds for those adorable photos. And she is involved with the training classes on Monday nights and takes animals in her car for lunch sometimes so she can tell Laura if they will be good passengers when she takes them to her house. And oh yeah, Dina also was the one who delivered Charlotte (now Bonnie Belle) to Indiana yesterday. But the point I was going to make is that she fostered Miss Mia from the time she was an itty bitty bottle baby. Shes just awesome like that. Happy Gotcha Day to one and ALL!!!!
