“And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal”. (2 Kings 2 vs 1). Today’s Scripture reveals that the journey of Elisha with Elijah began in a city called Gilgal. Elisha was about to become a major Prophet, he was about to become God’s spokesman in Israel, he was about to be elevated above his fellows, he was about to be distinguished and the journey to greatness began in Gilgal. The name GILGAL means ROLLED AWAY. Joshua 5 vs 9 explains the significance of Gilgal; it says, “And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal unto this day”. So, Gilgal was a place where God removed the reproach of Egypt. Gilgal was the place where God brought an end to the phase of sufferings in the national life of Israel. Friend, hear God’s Prophetic Word to you as a new month begins: The reproach of the past is over. The season of shame and despair has been terminated by the Word of God. Every negative habit and sickness that has held you down shall end right now in Jesus’ name. Every situation that attracted mockery to your life is being rolled away right now by the Word of the Lord! When God separates you from your past, people will see you and be filled with wonder; when God rolls the past away, you will have a brand new start with no trace of the past. Don’t carry the past into the future. Its a new month, God will make all things new. Take every reproach in your life to the Lord right now,ask him to roll it away. Pray with me, “Lord, roll away every pain, struggle, negative habit and reproach of the past in Jesus name”. This Month of October shall be your Month of MAJESTIC MANIFESTATION…Royalty runs in your blood; Go and take your place among Kings!
