Due to budget constraints and the desire to avoid a bloated four hour affair… we’ve scrapped the awards show and are just going with a blog post. (It should be noted that we did walk a red carpet before writing this article.) Best Parents at Developing An Escape Plan Parents_PongoandPerdita Sure, foiling Horace and Jasper is easy, but you try sneaking 99 puppies past that crazy lazy with two hair colors. Let’s put our paws together for these two. Best Parents Who Never Give Up Parents_Rapunzel They’ve been releasing lanterns for EIGHTEEN years! Never give up has a whole new meaning… hope they are buying paper lanterns in bulk. (Side bar: We just realized her hair has been growing for 18 years too. Whoa.) Best Parent at Wise Statements Parents_Mufasa Exhibit A: Mufasa – “Simba, being brave doesn’t mean you go looking for trouble.” Exhibit B: Mufasa – “When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. Props to the puppet man, he’s got mad wishing skillz. Best Parents Who Landed Amazing Jobs Parents_ZeusandHera Sure, everyone dreams of being a lawyer, a doctor, or an Oh My Disney writer. But the way to really impress at “Bring Your Parents to School Day”… bring the King and Queen of ALL the Gods, of course! Best Parents with Adorable Genes Parents_Lady (Insert groans/awwws/squeaks here.) Best Parent Who’s a Secret Rock Star Parents_CaptainTeague We’re breaking the 4th wall here for a second, but can we talk about how Captain Jack’s dad is a Rolling Stone. New song idea: “Paint It, Black (Pearl)”. Best Parents Who Invent Slightly Defective Products Parents_Wayne-and-Maurice It’s a tie! We couldn’t decide between our two resident inventors. Their experiments didn’t always produce the intended result, but their bifocals are enough to earn them the award. Best Parenting Skills Exhibited by a Non-Parent Parents_MikeandSulley- Talk about a 180… these two go from scaredy cats monsters to heroically returning Boo to the safety of her own bedroom. Parenting pro tip: crayons, cereal snacks, and homemade monster costumes must be carried at all times. So, who’d we miss? Which Disney parent would you like to nominate?
