Apparent chain of importance for my husband was witnessed tonight. While leaving a store and walking toward the van to put Elise in, Chris (wearing cowboy boots) slipped on the wet sidewalk and went down. Problem was, he took Elises wheelchair with him. I turned around just in time to see it flipped on its side with my baby girl going with it! It seemed to go in slow motion. I screamed like a psycho, thinking I was about to witness Elise slamming her head against the concrete. Thankfully, Chris has some football muscle left over from the 90s and managed to catch her wheelchair with her head literally 1 inch away from the ground. Heres where the chain of importance came in: At the end of the incident, Chris proudly announced that he didnt spill his coffee. Yes, he BARELY saved Elise from certain head injury, (which she cannot afford on top of her current state), but kept a FIRM grip on his coffee. I would worry if I didnt know what an amazing dad he is! But, still... :/
