Are we toys of politicians ********************************** Till May,16, the entire nation was obsessed with the Parliamentary elections, and immediately thereafter to Delhi Assembly, the vacant seats of M.L.A.’s having been elected to Parliament, the seats of Parliament of those who won in two constituencies. The entire process will incur crores and crores and crores of our impoverished country, where vast multitudes are living in abject poverty. The politicians occupying vast chunk of government properties and bungalows, while millions and millions of the poor are surviving in roadside ‘jhuggis’. We are talking of Delhi elections again. I was a great admirer of Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, but as Chief Minister, he behaved as if playing with a doll in the drawing room. Again the nation is gearing up for re-election, and again the same absurd talks of shameless politicians as who may defeat whom. Have these politicians treated us as the political toys. We may talk in terms of political ideologies, but I am astonished why we as Indians do not raise a collective and effective voice against all this political ‘ BHADUA-GARDEE’, which is having the direct impact on the poor, underprivileged and middle class.
