Are you helping others to get to Heaven or merely watching them fall off the cliff to their own spiritual destruction because you are afraid to speak up or reach out to others? This might be of great help to you... See everyone you meet not as a stranger but rather truly as you would a family member... And do you want to see any family member falling from a cliff? What are you going to do about it? Furthermore the destruction of sin in the soul is more horrific than if they have physically jumped off a cliff only the damage is eternal. Thats why when Im at the grocery or checkout lane Ill ask the cashier: So... How is your life with God? Most reply that it is good or fine and thats when I follow with the second: where do you go to church and when was the last time you went? Then I see sorrow and shame. I reply dont be afraid...there is nothing holding you back from kicking off the dust and turning back to Him by following Him more closely. Id really like to see you in Heaven but turning away from your faith wont get you there. It heads you in the opposite direction. Love ya and hope to see you on the other side. You have no idea how many people have thanked me and have cried and given me a hug. Some have been away from the Catholic Church for years and years. In fact, some have asked where I go and after I tell them I start to notice them at Mass... some arent even Catholic. I always see a big smile the next time I see them again at the checkout lane. Some may be afraid to do this but I really dont think this about fear.... it is about a failure to love! Dont be afraid to love others as Christ loves you. Never be afraid of loving someone else for if you allow fear to override your love, you cant experience the joy of seeing God touch a life in a very powerful way!
