Artist Spotlight! David Thompson!! David is one of our newer artists here at the gallery and we are very happy to display his work! As you can see, David medium of choice is wood turning and scroll saw. He mentions that he loves the smell of the wood and how the grain can be brought out. David learned some techniques in high school shop but for the most part is self-taught. The motivation and inspiration behind Davids work is from making people happy and enjoying what he has made! If you look closely you can see the detail of each piece. Some of the pens are even assembled with a bullet shell. Davids work would make a perfect gift for that special someone!
