As I give interview to various BBC radio stations one after another on role of Gurkhas in the British army, the unequal treatment they received, the indiginities they suffered, I found that Ministry of Defence has sent a written statement to the same stations saying that they do not recognise the accusations made. I almost felt like shouting at the condescending tone with which MOD lied and kept using the word reasonable to deny the principle of equal pay for equal work. But the way radio interviews are working is that i can give my views and MOD statement is read at the end, thus denying me the opportunity to rebut them. Next station, i will pre-empt MOD statement during the interview itself so that their statement comes across as hypocritical when read by the radio interviewer.
