As everyone already knows that Ramadan is here once again, for those of you who don’t know what Ramadan is? It is a very gracious and blessed month where Muslims all around the world obtain from food, drink and other desires. I’d just like to wish everyone a blessed month and say that this year let’s make an effort to actually make a change in our selves this Ramadan. It sometimes seems easy to say then do but really all we got to do is put our heart to it and make a promise to yourself that you are actually willing to give up a bad habit not only for yourself but more importantly for Allah. As I grow older Alhamdulillah I have been blessed enough to learn the importance of this month and to maximize my potential. Really I am writing this to encourage you all to come up with a Ramadan goal list to help us become better Muslims not only in Ramadan but all year long. Here are some of my goals this Ramadan maybe they will help you out with coming up with some goals Making a lot of sincere Du’a This month is a month to pour your heart out completely to Allah (not that any other month isn’t but Ramadan highlights this). Sincere Du’a really comes from a compassionate heart so make Du’a for everyone even if you aren’t close with someone do it just for the sake of Allah and the angels will make Du’a for you. Strengthen my supplication I know a lot of us tend to get lazy without prayers and it’s really not something to be proud. I hope to get rid of this ill habit and pray my prayers on time and ask for forgiveness as much as possible Softening my tongue and loving without limitations Every year the one thing I most admire is how Ramadan is all about good vibes, I want to work on making those around me feel truly loved because we all deserve it. I admit for those of you close with me I can be a little vicious with my words which I do not intent to be but I will try to work on. Replacing those harsh word with something less harsh :p Anyhow this post is getting long but as you can see my goals aren’t extreme or outrageous. The goals we set for ourselves should be ones we can stick with for the rest of our life. Start off something small and work your way through it. Ps. I do not claim to be righteous I’m just trying to better myself like everyone else, so don’t assume it. RAMADAN MUBARAK!!
