As most of you know, I taught school for 31 years. I have been retired now for several years and enjoy retirement very much, but still miss my students. Facebook has enabled me to keep in contact with many of my former students and I love hearing about their life. It warms my heart to get messages from them on a regular basis. Just this past week, I had one former student come by and brought me a C.D. of a local artist that he knew I admired. Another one sent me a message telling me he was sending me a Kris Kristofferson (my favorite) poster from the Hope Theatre where he played the benefit for the United Farm Workers and yet another one, out of the blue, sent me a note telling me he was thinking about me, he loved me and I was his hero! Last, but certainly not least, another one of my former students, did a smoked turkey and dressing for our Thanksgiving dinner which was out of this world!! All of these acts of kindness were all in one week! To say I feel extremely blessed, would be an understatement. I LOVE all my former students.
