As promised my "angry" poem probably not as angry as I led some of you to believe... Tired of a world where you have to hide behind lies Unable to get along unless you’re willing to compromise Out of fear you must hide who and what you are One nation founded on freedom but that goes how far Freedom of religion should mean free to worship as you please Anymore it means praying to one acceptable god on your knees Those of different beliefs are labeled as terrorists out to kill If they haven’t blown up a building you can bet they will It’s no longer acceptable to own slaves and the black man is as equal as the white That equality doesn’t reach as far wedding vows because mixing of races isn’t right A woman is looked upon with scorn and hate if she aborts a baby before it’s born Yet if she beats her child to death she suffered some type of depression and we mourn Love is only permissible between a woman and a man A company supporting equal rights is rewarded with a ban You’re in the closet if you don’t come out as being gay Stuck in there with all our hidden skeletons that we don’t want to see the light of day Step out and be persecuted labeled as being evil and wrong This kind of stuff has being going on far too long It’s time we grow up and realize being different is perfectly fine Freedom has faded until its nothing but a faded line People say our nation has fallen from its previous grace We blame this one and that one but maybe it’s because we laugh in freedoms face This is the unedited version I may still back up and do some more work on it not sure yet.
