As we approach another Veterans Day, lets first remember those that never made it home. While we are out doing our own thing, lets remember that there are so many still with us that cant. Remember that the scars of war are not always physically evident, the emotional scarring is and will always be there, the feelings some of us may still have, all of these things need to be remembered as well. So while youre out and about and you happen to see a veteran that looks like he or she is going through a tough time; walk up to them and smile and offer some encouraging words. Sometimes all it takes is for someone to remind a troubled veteran that they were trained to never give up. My thoughts and prayers are with all of our veterans past and present tonight. May God continue to bless all of us and help those in need to lift any heavy burdens they may be carrying. One final thing; to those currently serving, thank you. Those words alone are not enough but they come from my heart. If any of you are going through tough times, you are not alone. I may not know you but I love you and thank you. Continue mission and may St. Michael continue to watch your six.
