Atwood 6 Gallon Water Heater Elect/LP w/ Electronic Ignition Model: GC6AA-7E My water gets extremely scalding HOT! 140-150 degrees. I replaced the old 140degree front mount thermostat (P# 91447) with an adjustable 110-150degree thermostat (P# 93105). youtu.be/F6RsUF45Hl4 Unfortunately the water is still super hot and I found out this thermostat is only good in LP mode (so much for that $32). According to my manual, a screw-in heating element is located on the backside (interior) of the water heater and thats where the electronic mode thermostat (P# 91873) is located. Is this an easy repair? Should this be the solution to my super HOT, scalding water problem?
