They gather evidence by observing and experiencing the world,” says Tamar Kushnir in the Department of Human Development at Cornell University who led a research on how young children learn. His top tip for parents and caregivers: Recognize that children will be watching you and the others around them very closely and learning from the actions and choices they observe.
