Organization: Cast Hope Location: Chico, CA Cast Hope hosted its first-ever three-day fly fishing and camping trip on the Trinity River outside of Lewiston, California. The program provided kids and mentors with the opportunity to develop their fly fishing skills. Specifically, the group was taught how to reach the water, match the hatch and practice conservation-based fishing through catch and release. The project engaged 14 people, including nine youth, for a total of 672 hours spent outdoors on the river.
