Bailey Update: well, been a long weekend. the vet just got the results today. Bailey has high cholesterol and high liver enzymes. also the urine sample shows diluted urine. all this is considered a sign of Cushing Disease even tho they ruled that out at first without the blood test. he does have a few systems of it such as excessive thirst and excessive hunger. the vet wants to do another test tomorrow called low dose dexamethasone suppression test, high dose dexamethasone suppression test, and an ACTH stimulation test.. they will have to keep him for 10 hours and inject this med and then take blood tests again and repeat 3 times just to verify it is indeed Cushing. i was hoping it was better news but i cant jump the gun at this point until we get all the results.he could also have a small tumor in the adrenal gland that did not show up on the ultrasound.. i know if that is what he has, i will rely on my friends here on Fb to support and help me as i know some of you have had babies with Cushing also.asking for continued prayers . will update whn we get the results which will probably not be until Thursday. sigh....
