FREEDOM IS NOT A RIGHT BUT A CHOICE: If leadership is dependent on the size of pocket or wealth accumulation or physical appearance or nature of convoy or god idol, then David would have not been king in Israel because he was the least qualified by human standard but God look at the heart. The unfolding political playout on the Plateau is unwholesome judging the desperate misbehaviour of key players. We failed to realised that if a leader assumed the position of God Heavens will speak in favour of the people. Pharaoh kept the people of God under siege with oppressive rule but the Most High heard the cries of His people from heaven and provided liberation through humble leadership of a selfless and unassuming Moses. All is not well with us as a people looking at the reality on the ground. As we continue to face the challenges of producing the next leadership its imperative that we disregard attaching mundane considerations to our decisions. We should concentrate on pedigree of aspiring leadership with critical assessment of their role in the face of societal injustice. If as leaders we were confortable with injustice can we dispense justice if trusted with responsibilities? For me Barrister Solomon Dalung.., I am calm and not desperate but determined to serve if given the mandate. Leadership to me is burden with trust that requires commitments. Honestly, I preferred death more than failure. My prayers has been that if I will not affect lives with the necessary change as Governor then God should deny me the apportunity of been any. If it will be business as usual with our people living with hunger, poverty and unemployment while instability hunts them daily then I will preferred to remain and die as Solomon Dalung, the human right activist. May God give us a leader whosoever he may be but a selfless person who will unite our people and stamp out impunity with all leadership vices that held us hostage. A man with the courage to reject hypocrisy, praising singing and self defeat. He should be a father to all taking every body on board. And may our people resist the temptation of collecting new #200 note, slippers, Maggie, salt, branded one measure of foreign rice or even the insulting atampa but insist on using their votes to determine their destiny. The choice of freedom in 2015 solely lies with Plateau people Iam merely a catalyst of change.
