Bears & Orchids Day 1 Arrive in Tallinn, to West-Estonia In the airport of Tallinn on June 18th at 17.30, the weather is freezing and windy. Keith and Brian have already arrived from UK. Gloria and Francesco from Italy have landed at the right time but their luggage got lost. The airport service gave a word to send the luggage to our guesthouse on the midnight and they did it. After we had traveled a half an hour to the west the Sun appeared We found 6 species of orchids during our first and short walk to the coastal meadow – Military Orchid (Orchis militaris), Lesser Butterfly-orchid (Platanthera bifolia), Fly Orchid (Ophrys insectifera), Common Twayblade (Listera ovata), Marsh Helleborine (Epipactis palustris) and Early Marsh-orchid (Dactylorhiza incarnata). After dinner quickly to the bed, the wake up is very early next morning, we will travel to Hiiumaa island. ************************** Karud & orhideed 1. päev: saabumine Tallinna, sõit Lääne-Eestisse 18.juunil kell 17.30 Tallinna lennujaamas, ilm on külm ja tuuline. Keith ja Brian Suur-Britanniast on juba kohal. Itaallaste Gloria ja Francesco lend saabus küll õigeaegselt, kuid pagasil õnnestus ära kaduda. Lubati järele saata (pagas saabus Altmõisa kell 1.00 öösel). Poolteist tundi sõitu Läänemaale tõi päikse välja Kuus käpalist juba esimese õhtuga käes - hallkäpp, kahelehine käokeel, kärbesõis, suur käopõll, soo-neiuvaip ja kahkjaspunane sõrmkäpp. Peale õhtusööki kohe tuttu, järgmisel hommikul tuleb vara ärgata, sõidame Hiiumaale.
