Bistro 26 Restaurant, Tripadvisor Reviews, Stayner “A gem in the countryside” Reviewed July 10, 2013 NEW We found this place completely by accident on the way back from Blue Mountain Resort. It completely surprised us because we were expecting just a quaint family diner on the side of a country hwy but were impressed by the upscale experience - they even had a really good guitar player gently crooning in the middle of a Sunday. The service was amazing!! The server read us well (one of us just woke up and the other bright eyed) and gave us a breakfast and lunch menu. We had the Bistro 26 Breakfast sandwhich and the Black & Blue Burger. Both were absolutely delicious and unique. The breakfast sandwhich had avacado and bacon in it (yum!) and the Black&Blue had goat cheese and blueberry chutney in it on an onion bun(unusual but surprisingly complimentary to the burger). After spending waaay to much at Blue Mountain restaurants for what you get, this place had higher quality and value in comparison. Fresh ingredients and some fresh takes on comfort food :)
