Bourdain’s MPAC Media Award Video Making International News bit.ly/1nBxyij CNN host Anthony Bourdains video accepting the Voice of Courage and Conscience Media Award last Sunday has made national and international news, including The Nation magazine, Haaretz, and Daily Kos. In the video message Bourdain says in part: It is something we do all the time -- show regular people doing everyday things, cooking and enjoying meals. It is a measure, I guess, of how twisted and shallow our depiction of the people is that these images come as a shock to so many. The world has visited many terrible things on the Palestinian people, none more shameful than robbing them of their basic humanity.” MPAC works to bring attention and progress to the struggle of the Palestinian people for self-determination by engaging the public discourse and impacting perceptions.
