Bryn grew up in Warrnambool, and was living with his partner Carley and their treasured pets Lily and Levi in the coastal town of Port Fairy. He works as a occupational health and safety officer. Bryn has always been passionate about the natural world and loves nothing more than a day out fishing or scuba diving. Hes also big on physical fitness, with boxing, weights and running keeping him in good nick. Life was good. Bryn and Carley travelled to Karon in Phuket, to celebrate their third year anniversary. Waking early one morning Bryn went to get some supplies from the local shops. Getting a lift on the back of a taxi motor scooter, Bryn and the driver were hit from behind by a tuk tuk van. Bryn suffered multiple injuries which could easily have killed him. His spinal cord was badly damaged and doctors have told him that they dont think that hell ever walk again. Bryn is determined to prove them wrong but knows that he has a long road ahead. In an instant, Bryns life has changed forever. Every day is full of challenges. Bryn will need a lot of love and support to get through all of this. Hell also need expensive specialised equipment and modifications to his home. For example, the wheelchair Bryn needs is $10,000. The bike machine he needs to stimulate the muscles in his legs costs $20,000. The list goes on and on. A lot of these costs would be covered by the TAC if Bryns accident had been in Australia. But Bryns only help will be from his friends and family. Every dollar will help.
