Burning Bridges by Mike Curb Congregation is todays special song. Always reminds me of the saying Dont burn your bridges! Very apt and somehow some people are always burning their bridges!! Burning Bridges spent 5 weeks at #1 on the Springbok Chart in October and November, 1970. Its the theme song from the of the 1970 Clint Eastwood comedy film Kellys Heroes. The film is a typical example of Eastwoods deadpan humour; Kelly is an American soldier who discovers a horde of gold bars stashed in a bank behind enemy lines, so he recruits a group of renegades to rob it. The song bears no real relation to the film although it could be interpreted as a former soldier reminiscing about the good old days of the war. Michael Mike Curb (born December 24, 1944, Savannah, Georgia, United States) is an American musician, record company executive, and NASCAR car owner. A Republican, he served as the 42nd Lieutenant Governor of California from 1979 to 1983 under Democratic Governor Edmund G. Jerry Brown, Jr. He was acting governor of California while Brown spent time outside of California pursuing presidential ambitions. He is also the founder of Curb Records as well as an inductee of the West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame. He is of Mexican heritage https://youtube/watch?v=pt1GK7RC27w
