Bước vào giai đoạn bầu chọn đầu tiên, fan nhạc Việt cần phải “chiến đấu” trong hơn 5 tuần, bắt đầu từ 17h00 ngày 17/09 đến 23h59 ngày 24/10/2013 để biến Mỹ Tâm trở thành người chiến thắng khu vực Đông Nam Á. Mỹ Tâm cùng MV “Như Một Giấc Mơ” (Like A Dream) đã chính thức xuất hiện trong video clip đề cử khu vực Đông Nam Á, sánh vai với 5 MV của các nghệ sĩ Olivia Ong (đại diện của Singapore), Hafiz (Malaysia), NOAH (Indonesia), Sarah Geronimo(Philippin) và Slot Machine (Thái Lan). Releasing 12 groundbreaking albums and singles, including one best-selling album of 2007, and winning over 40 awards throughout her career, My Tam has gained numerous international recognitions, such as receiving the Bronze Medal in Asia New Singer Competition 2000 in Shanghai, and Maple Leaf Award 2005 by the Chief Embassy of Canada.
