So long before Fast and Furious, before Matt Damon and CGI traffic inserts, before extensive stunt men, camera tricks and rigs; before excessive screams, yelps, extraneous dialogue and shaky-cam (Oh my!--insert George Takei joke now if you wish...not feelng it so much). Yeah, we needed was Steve McQueen, a villain and a great car to boot (68 Mustang GT). Even to this day, I dont believe the scene has an equal. The French Connection and Tarantinos Death Proof are pretty darn close (in my opinion). Enjoy!
