CITY COUNCIL MEETING MONDAY NOVEMBER 17, 2014-- The City Council will discuss and vote on the much debated No Camping in Public Lands Ordinance Monday night. I will be supporting it and it has also been endorsed by the Ayers Pto, the Ryal Side Civic Association,, Mayor Michael Cahill, most if not all City Councilors. If you would like to speak on the ordinance please let the City Clerks office or myself know and you will be allowed to speak at the beginning of our meeting at the time reserved for Public Speakers. There is no public hearing during our Council discussion of the Ordinance so your only chance to speak will be in the Public Speakers portion of our Agenda. I do expect the Council to pass the Ordinance. We will also send to committee the Proposal by the Cummings Center to create 68 condominium units adjacent their parking garage at McKay and Elliott Street. A Public Hearing to discuss this has been set for December 1 at 7:20 PM. The October 30, 2014 Beverly Citizen has an article and photograph of the project. Jim Latter - Beverly City Councillor and myself will be meeting with abutters later today to discuss their concerns.
