CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY. I was not there when these crimes were defined by the World body but if you look deeply in our polity, you would discover that much more goes on daily. Crimes against Humanity are defined by the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, in its Explanatory Memorandum as: particular odious offences in that they constitute a serious attack on human dignity or grave humiliation or a degradation of human being. They are not isolated on sporadic events, but are part either of a government policy or of a wide practise of atrocities tolerated or condoned by a government or a defacto authority. Murder, extermination, torture,rape,political , racial, or religious persecution and other inhuman acts that reach the threshold of crimes against humanity. And any other inhuman act that is widespread and systematic in nature calculated and implemented to deprive and rob the people of freedom.. From the above definition, do you think that Crimes against Humanity are perpetuated against you now by your Governors/ leaders?
