Carnival Spirit is getting a Mexican cantina and Caribbean rum bar as part of its massive $44 million dollar makeover! The BlueIguana Cantina - a Carnival favourite around the world - will spice up Carnival Spirit’s mid-ship pool area with a range of tacos and burritos served with traditional toppings in a Mexican-style beach cantina. Next door will be the BlueIguana Tequila Bar, offering different varieties of tequila plus margaritas and Mexican beers. If that isnt enough, the refit will also see Carnival Spirits first celebrity chef partnership, with Californian chef Guy Fieri bringing his Guy’s Burger Joint to the Aussie cruising masses. Here, youll be able to find hand-crafted burgers made especially for for Carnival Cruise Lines! In case youre wondering who this Guy Fieri bloke is, hes an American restaurateur, author, game host, and television personality currently working for Food Network - theres a mouthful in itself! Adding to the classic American burger joint feel, Guy’s Burger Joint features surfboards and car paraphernalia, as well as burgers youll be able to customise to your liking with extras and signature sauces. And, perhaps best of all, food from the cantina and burger joint are included in the cruise fare.
