Be it the hot days of May or the heavy rains of July or the bone-chilling cold of December, a weather forecaster has to stay alert, demystify the weather and keep the people updated about the upcoming weather. But the job of the weather forecaster is equally tough and challenging due to the vagaries of the weather. In spite of all the challenges and difficulties coming up, forecasting the weather has been a passion for many people across the globe but how exactly the weather forecasters forecast the weather still remains a mystery for many. In this talk, we will see how a forecaster uses various scientific tools like satellite images, weather models, surface weather charts, Doppler Radars etc to predict how the weather will be in the coming days.
