Coming home this afternoon Skye sees some children running on the road. She asks if they are in a race so I explained that they are training and when you train and do things over and over you become better. She wanted to know why they have to train so hard; so again I explained that it is part of a routine to develop themselves as athletes. She looks at me and says wow you know so much about what they are doing have you even been in a race like that I said No but remember I am old and I know these things. As usual she gives me the eye then proceeds to remind me that she was in a race and got to hold the banner up front. She then turns to me and asks again if I have ever been in a race similar to the one she was in. I said no I have not. She turns to me, cocks her eye and responds yep I can tell you have not. So here I am planning how to show this kid that she does not have one over me. Long holiday coming up Im taking her on the road and we will she how far she gets before her girliness shows and she begins to complain about being hot, her hair is messed up, she is tired, she wants a lift up, I need to walk with a stroller, I am draining the water out of her body blah bah blah....she will complain until we get to our destination and by then ill be physically and mentally exhausted. But hey I love her to pieces and I get lots of laughs just listening and watching her.
