Conservation 20/20 Teen Volunteers Compete in State Envirothon The Cape Coral High School Environmental Club competed in the state Envirothon held in Lamont May 11-12, 2014. These students and their leader, teacher Liz Kominar regularly volunteer at several of our Conservation 20/20 preserves helping to GPS gopher tortoise burrows, remove exotics and trash removal projects. This team participated in the regional Envirothon held at Lee County’s Caloosahatchee Regional Park in December 2013. By placing in the final three the team proceeded to the State level Envirothon where they won 1st place in the Soils section. Conservation 20/20 staff member Laura Greeno is a member of the planning team for the regional Envirothon.
