Corfe Mullen Utd 3-0 Piddletrenthide Utd 7th Sept 2013 This was a big day in Corfe Mullen Utds history representing the village in the Dorset Senior league. Playing on a hard dry pitch due to the long hot summer, it was always going to take its toll on the players. Corfe started well giving the game time to settle down and give us a chance to see what we were up against. Only 5 minutes in one of our strikers Mikey Fleetham had to be replaced by Greg Arnold after getting an impact injury to his ankle . Corfe settled down and started dictating the games tempo. Steve Morris put himself in our clubs history book by hitting home a left foot drive to put the mulleners 1-0 to the good and scoring the clubs 1st senior league goal. Greg Arnold then put us 2-0 up after Jack McGann run through a channel and crossed a great ball in to his path. HT 2-0. 2nd half saw much of the same from Corfe Mullen playing a tempo our visitors could not deal with. Jack McGann had to be replaced after a hamstring pull by Dave Johnston. Dan Flooks got his seasons account on the way by smashing Utd 3-0 up. Dave Johnston got replaced by Sean Elliott. Utd do have some injury concerns but looked the part in the new league.
