#Courtesy JOK 8/5/14 Just like President Jonathan, I would have been reluctant to bring America, Britain and China to Nigeria for any military expedition. Yet I know that in life certain decisions are made for you by circumstances. If the President had rejected their offer of assistance he will be damned by the opposition who will latch onto it for political advantage. If he directs our military to engage the terrorists as happened during the Kenyam mall siege, those who orchestrated the abduction will kill the girls and blame him for genocide. My only hope is that those behind the abduction will quickly see the danger and long term effect of the arrival of foreign military entities to our shores and immediately release all the girls so that the foreigners will go immediately. It is surely not in their interest to have these global powers set up shop in Nigeria under the guise of military assistance. It will surely hurt them if the girls are not released today to their parents and the foreigners sent back immediately. This is a catch 22 situation and we will all lose a bit of our sovereignty but the abductors and their sponsors will lose much more. Fishes are waiting to consume the body of Shekau as happened to Osama Bin Laden his mentor. He cant escape it unless he releases the girls today and commence the process of transformation similar to what Niger Delta militants did in 2009. His local sponsors will be under very close surveillance and wont have any secrets again. Just one wrong move and they are blown up into shreds by bombs from above. I strongly doubt if anybody will have the patience to try them in Nigerian courts. Most importantly, Nigeria will be the theatre of a major global intelligence chess game with far reaching consequences even for our geographical integrity. Our best course is for the terrorists to release the girls today without further ado. Let the elders who claimed to have been negotiating with Shekau advice him that the game is up. Forget about prisoners exchange and kidnap ransom. Americans wont allow the Nigerian government pay any such thing. Whatever they can get from Borno State government should be enough for them. There is N50m to be made for giving information on where the girls are. Hopefully, Shekaus sponsors will also consider the $7m booty America placed on Shekaus head and cash in immediately by exposing him. Even our suspected traitors within the military are in for it. There will be internal reviews and joint inquiries and it wont be difficult to monitor suspected saboteurs and nail them. Let them ask their contacts to release the girls immediately. Otherwise yawa go gas. Unfortunately, we are now on the highway to CIAs purported 2015 predictions. I never believed that prediction but seeing the rapid turn of events, may God help us. In all these, there is God ooooooo.
