Crucifixion Events In contrast, Jesus - Son of God, High Priest and Sacrificial Lamb, the only Mediator between God and man offered Himself to be sacrifice for our Salvation. Jesus was sentenced to death by crucifixion without sin by the High Priest, Teachers of the Law, by you and me. Jesus carried the large heavy cross from Ecce Homo (Latin) to Golgotha (Hebrew word for Skull Hill/ Latin Calvary) - is a land mark which tells us the location of Jesus crucifixion. Jesus revealed the location to Ron Wyatt (Note: The Custodian of Garden Tomb does not recognise that the Ark of the Covenant was indeed found by Ron Wyatt). It is a good walking distance under 1 km . The way to Golgotha is called Via Dolorosa ( Way of Sorrow). But for Jesus, is an agony and suffering due to the size and weight of the cross ( 13 inches X 14 inches X 10 feet in Length. 10 feet is taken from the cross hole size and dept = 2feet + Jesus height = 5’11” ( approx. 6 feet ) + 2 feet estimated elevation Total= 10 feet ) plus the weight of the crossbeam. Jesus is strong and fit did not fall to the enormous weight of the cross + our sins. Upon reaching the crucifixion site (Golgotha), the Roman soldiers have to lay the cross on the ground and place Jesus lying on His back to the cross, to nail his hands and feet. Then the Roman soldiers has to lift the cross with Jesus hanging, then drop the cross to the cross hole = 2 feet deep. There is a jerk of pain on Jesus hands and feet (feet nailed together right over left using only one large and long nail ) on 9:00 AM April 14, 33 AD. Jesus weight is relying on the feet nail. Jesus was nailed on His Palm ( not wrist ) as shown to Thomas after the resurrection. In order for Jesus to breathe, He has to open His lungs by pushing His legs upward. While hanging on the cross He said: 1.Father, for give them for they do not know what they are doing. 2. Jesus said to the repenting criminal: Today you will be with me in Paradise. 3. Jesus died alone, no one at the foot of the cross because at last minute, Jesus was dropped to the alternate cross hole (there were 2 cross hole prepared for Jesus, one is in line between the 2 criminals, one is 8-9 feet behind) which is 8-9 feet behind the two criminal which is close to the wall or cliff face. When there was light, 3:00 PM, the Roman soldiers broke the legs of the two criminals. They look on Jesus; they did not break His legs because according to the Scriptures, Jesus legs won’t be broken. Just to make sure Jesus was dead, one Roman soldier thrust a spear on Jesus left side. A massive quantity of blood and water flowed. This indicated that Jesus died of broken heart. His heart literally burst. Jesus redeemed us by His Precious Blood. The Gospel account of Jesus crucifixion is 100% accurate. Take note: John recorded that Jesus was crucified below the land mark Golgotha and Luke recorded that Jesus was laid in a new Tomb ( own by Joseph of Arimathea ) nearby in a garden ( now called Garden Tomb ). There were 3 signs placed above the cross- Jesus King of the Jews ( in Hebrew, Greek, Latin. Jesus speak Hebrew.[ ( Hebrew was spoken by Eber- six generation before Abraham. Ishmael lived in the wilderness of Paran and speaks Hebrew. After the reigned of King Solomon, Israel was divided in two: Israel & Judah. Aramaic is a language derived from the Northern Part called Israel captured by the Assyrians-now Syria. Arabic is derived from Judah (Southern Part) captured by Babylonians- now Iraq. Arabic was spoken in 4rth century)] A Cross is a symbol use since the time of Noah as a grave marker - means Death and Resurrection. The Atonement of sins in the Old Covenant-Old Testament is performed by animal sacrifice - animal blood is sprinkled on right side of Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant (Replica of the Throne of God in Heaven except 2 Cherubim was replaced with 4 Seraphim) in the New Covenant -New Testament; Jesus poured His own Blood unto the left side of the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant. Jesus was crucified, died and resurrected. Jesus conquered death and victorious. Jesus is seated at the right hand of God-The Father. Jesus is the First born of the Creation. Salvation is only by Grace through Faith and only through Jesus Christ-The Way/The Life/ The Truth. God is the God of Abraham- God of Isaac-God of Israel (Jacob renamed Israel-God chosen Jacob not Esau- the Edomites). We pray for the Peace of Jerusalem and visit the Holy Land so that we will be grafted to the Original Olive- Israel. God is Holy Trinity - God the Father… God the Son… God the Holy Spirit.
