Cultural Event: Ontology on Tap Theos Java Club, Rock Island, IL, Tuesday Nov 4, 6-8pm Presentation: The Origin of Evil Ontology on Tap is a two hour freelance philosophical evening discussing ontology - the state of “being” - in theology, psychology, spirituality, the intellect, physics, the emotions, creativity and communication. Ontology on Tap hearkens back to the days before the Internet, cell phones, TV and radio, when groups of people regularly gathered in public venues for discussing a wide variety of subjects. Michael Grady, who has given several Independent Scholar presentations at the Institute of Cultural and Healing Traditions in Moline since 2003, is the founder. The Independent Scholar evenings are sponsored by The Institute for Cultural and Healing Traditions, qcinstitute.org The new perspective in ontology and existence is predominately based on the work, reflections, writings and memory of Dr Robert Joyce, an American philosopher and friend, who passed away on September 16, 2014. Completely avoided are controversial, political, conspiracy theory subjects, which tend to divide groups of persons. Instead, the focus is on new perspectives in theology, psychology, metaphysics, the intellect, physics, the emotions, creativity and communication.
