Cycling Day 5: Starting in Siena, we rode deep in the hills of Chianti climbing above the tree lines and along a ridge past the beautiful Bossi and San Felice estates. We stopped at Castello di Brolio, a 1000 year landmark for a tasting of its famous wines (this is the place that first put Chianti wine on the map). From there we continued through vast stretches of Chianti vineyards and winding roads to Radda for lunch, and ultimately we finished at Borgo Di Vescine, a hotel and winery nestled on a remote forested ridge in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. The last pictures are a view of and from the hotel.
