The requirements are : A) Deep Dark Spooky EXPERIMENTAL and UNUSUAL Minimalistic Music based on the evolution of Technology tinted by the influences of Psychedelics and Hipnotism B) Maximum 5 Tracks Unmastered (One Track Allowed) C) The Basics: -Make sure your mixes renders are at 44.1khz, 24 or 32 bit, Stereo. -Try not to use compression, EQ or limiting on your master mix output in order to get the most loundness and punch possible at the mastering stage. (excepted of course if you like pumping fx and side-chaining and it is part of YOUR sound) - After years of mixing in the box, we noticed that working your output masters in your DAW between -12 and -6 dbfs always seems to have more depth and punch. its the gain staging that seems to make plugins sound better when not hit to hard at input. But again it is a question of taste and aesthetics. Some will like more dithered and 2D image mixes when internal clipping occurs. D) Use Wetransfer It Starts Now : dmtcollective@gmail
