DONT WORRY, YOU HAVE A GREAT HIGH PRIEST!! Heb 4:14-16 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. For those who believe in the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ, the scriptures above serve as a spring board to launch us into an active prayer life. One of the reasons why most people stay away from prayer is the belief that their actions, errors, commissions, weaknesses and evil ways are so great and enormous and as such the shame of face would not allow them to come before the Father to ask, worship or fellowship with Him. Jesus Christ, though God, came as a Man to identify with our weaknesses and go through what made man to be committing sin but because He has no sin nature as a man, He went through diverse temptations as we are but without sin, and as such, He can identify and sympathize with us in our struggles with sin and temptations. For this reason, as God, being of the same nature with his Father, and equal to him; and it is this which makes him a great High Priest. Jesus Christ, ever lives to intercede for you before the Throne Room. Beloved, you are not at the Throne Room alone during your prayer and intercession times, you are with Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ at the Throne Room is what gives us the boldness to come before the Father, despite our shortcomings, weaknesses, sins and wicked works, to seek His face, mercy, grace and help in the time of need. Dont let the devil drive you away from the Throne Room, approach your Father in prayer knowing fully well that you have an Advocate, an Intercessor and a great High Priest before the Father! God Knows all you are going through - your struggles, your efforts, your challenges, your weakness, your heart, etc. Dont allow your heart to condemn you for God is greater than your heart. Beloved, the next time the devil and evils of your carnal nature want to drive you away from the Throne Room of prayer, just say: I HAVE A GREAT HIGH PRIEST AT THE THRONE ROOM OF GRACE, MERCY AND HELP! ALLELUIAH!! 1John 2v1:My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
